What is Toggl Focus

It’s our attempt at a single application that supports individual and team performance, enhancing productivity and deep work.

According to research, on average, switching back to a task takes about 23 minutes after an interruption. Employees lose an hour if there are three interruptions; six interruptions add up to 25% of an entire working day.

Focus 101

There are three main views that you can and should utilize in Toggl Focus

Tasks

This is the place where you can create all of your tasks, in a similar way you’d do them on a regular to-do list on paper, or in any other app:

You can currently add task name (duh), project, priority, time estimate and deadline - and you can also pin the task, so it appears on top in calendar view. Going further, those tasks will be recursive, meaning the ability to add subtasks (and subtasks for subtasks) to them! For many, this would be a starting point of their day or week.

You can also import tasks with AI creating a list of tasks for you if you feel adventurous!

Subtasks

For each task, you can add subtasks:

Even more so, each of the subtasks can have their own subtasks as well (as ‘One more for good measure’ in our example). At the moment, they are presented flatly in Inbox, to ensure full overview of all the tasks you've created. You can create subtasks up to 5 levels deep!

Calendar view

This is the place, where the tasks actually find their way into your working day. The ones you’ve created in Tasks view will appear in the sidebar on the right. Pinned ones will be on top, the rest down below.
