SIGHTSEEING TIPS

• Old Town - if you only do one thing, walking in the medieval Old Town should be it (e.g. nice views from Patkuli viewpoint)
• Kadriorg Park - nice park, art museums like KUMU, presidential palace
• Seaplane Harbour - maritime museum with really cool exhibitions and a real submarine, suitable for kids
• TV Tower - broadcasting exhibitions and 360 view over the city when the sky is clear
• Museum of Occupations and Freedom - museum for the history lovers; includes KGB prison cells exhibition
• Tallinn Zoo
• Nice spas like Aqua Spa or Hilton
• Old Town

I recommend checking out both the upper town and lower town. Here are some cool spots to visit:

• Patkuli Viewing Platform
• Kohtuotsa Viewing Platform
• Danish King Gardens
• Katariina passage (cutest small street, has a very good Italian restaurant Controvento)
• St Olaf’s church tower - you can climb to the top of a church that used to be the tallest building in Europe in medieval times
• Deer’s park and Schnelli Park - grab a coffee from this place and just walk around when the weather is nice

Seaside and North Tallinn

This part of Tallinn has opened up to the sea during the past couple of years, very nice promenade and a couple of cool sights on the way. Just start walking from the city center side and finish in the Noblessner area. Or vice versa.
