At Toggl, we offer flexible sick leave, meaning there is no fixed limit to how many times per year you can take sick leave. If you’re sick, you’re sick, and you should take the time you need.

At the same time, this policy is built on trust, responsibility, and sustainability. ****While there is no strict cap on occurrences, patterns of frequent or repeated absences (e.g. regular short-term sick leave taken very often) may require a closer look and a conversation with your manager and People Operations to understand what’s going on and how we can best support you.
When going on sick leave, please share your approximate return date, if you know it. If you don’t know it yet, inform us as soon as you have more clarity. This is extremely important so we can redistribute your workload and ensure your team is properly supported while you’re away.
All sick leave must be recorded in BambooHR.
<aside> 🇪🇪 If you are an Estonian employee, there is no need to take official sick leave (haigusleht), because Toggl will maintain your salary anyway, no matter if it is 1, 2, 3 or more days.
