<aside> 🌸 **Everyone is entitled to days off to celebrate public holidays of the country of their permanent residence (i.e. if you live in Spain, you celebrate Spanish holidays).
NB! Your PH days will depend on the number of days you would normally be granted if you were employed in your country of residence.**

To take public holiday days off, you need to notify your team in advance (as early as possible) of the non-working days. You also need to add dates to your Slack status and update your Google Calendar/Toggl Plan timeline accordingly.
Please ask your team lead if you need to add PH days in BambooHR (it is up to every lead to decide if they want their team to keep this info in BambooHR).
In case your lead wants you to submit a request, this is how you do it:
You submit a request on BambooHR, marking them as ‘0’ days from their PTO.
Public holidays that fall during your vacation are not counted towards vacation days.
You can choose to work on a public holiday and re-schedule that day off on another date (without reducing vacation days), as long as it doesn't impact the team or your work in a negative way.
