Places to visit

📍Syntagma Square, Parliament Building, Monument of the unknown soldier (there’s a cool “change of guards” happening every hour)

📍 Ermou street, one of the most popular/ commercial streets of Athens

📍 Monastiraki neighbourhood - very popular square, flea market and lots of tourists shops for souvenirs

📍Thisio, right next to Monastiraki, worth a walk

📍 Anafiotika - Island vibes (no beach :P) within the city. Definitely worth a walk, lots of places there to eat mezedes and drink rakomelo

📍 Acropolis, Acropolis Museum and the surrounding area. Dionisiou Aeropagitou is one of the most “expensive” streets of Athens. Plaka is one of the oldest neighbourhoods with many places to eat, drink etc..

📍 Mount lycabettus - well more like a hill 😛 But a very nice place to enjoy a nice view of Athens. You can go there on foot (needs some climbing) or by cable car.

📍 Vouliagmeni and lake Vouliagmeni, this is a bit further from Athens but it’s a nice beach area to visit if you’re up to it. Lake vouliagmeni is also very beautiful.

📍 Panathinaiko stadium ( Kallimarmaro) and Pagrati area behind it
